Step 1: Break chocolate bars up into s'more-sized pieces (we like four squares per), and halve graham crackers. Make sure that campfire is going strong, or if you're using a broiler, turn that on to heat up.
Campfire version: Toast marshmallows! Anywhere from golden to "charred and on fire"—you're the chef. Sandwich 'em up with graham crackers and chocolate and get chomping.
Indoors version: On a baking sheet or in a cast-iron pan, assemble your s'mores open faced (graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow). Slide the entire tray under the broiler until marshmallows are nicely browned and melting, then top each s'more with another piece of graham cracker and dig in.
